Serbian days June 6&7 th

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

With great joy and gratitude to God, we are approaching one of the most significant and important events for our Serbian community in Manitoba — Serbian Days. We begin this celebration with prayer and conclude it with prayer, because we always want to remember that Christ and His Church are what truly unite us, preserve us, and bring us together, while our culture, traditions, and community are expressions of that living bond.

Every year, in the month of June, Serbian Days bring together our community in a celebration of faith, heritage, culture, and fellowship. This is more than just a festival. It is a celebration of our unity, our faith, our heritage, and our identity. These are days we eagerly anticipate each year, when we come together as one large family to celebrate the richness of Serbian culture, preserve the traditions of our ancestors, and pass them on to future generations.

Our Church and community begin preparing for this special event many months in advance. Countless hours of planning, organizing, volunteering, and dedicated work go into making Serbian Days a meaningful and joyful celebration for everyone. It is truly a community effort, made possible through the generosity, love, and dedication of many people.

In a time when life's responsibilities and distances often keep us apart, gatherings like these become a beacon that brings our people together. They fill our hearts with joy and our community with love, music, dance, and the spirit of Christian fellowship. They offer us the opportunity to renew old friendships, build new ones, and bear witness to the enduring strength of our Serbian heritage and Orthodox faith, even far from our homeland.

We warmly invite you to join us in the month of June and honor this special celebration with your presence. Bring your family, friends, and neighbours. You will enjoy an outstanding cultural program, authentic Serbian cuisine, live music, traditional folklore performances, and activities for all ages.

We also warmly invite all people of good will who would like to volunteer and contribute to the success of Serbian Days. Whether you can help with organization, hospitality, food preparation, setup, activities, or in any other way, your help is deeply appreciated. Those who wish to volunteer may contact our parish priest by email, through our Instagram profile, or by text message (SMS).

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank everyone who contributes their time, effort, gifts, and goodwill to this celebration. May God's blessing be upon you and your families, and may the Lord reward your generosity and love.

May Serbian Days continue to grow and, by God's grace, become a cherished tradition not only of our Serbian community, but of all the peoples and communities of Winnipeg—a place where we can come together in friendship, respect, joy, and fellowship.

May this weekend be filled with joy, love, and unity, to the glory of God and for the strengthening of our community. May the Lord gather us together in peace, so that through our faith, our culture, and our heritage, we may continue to build bridges and share the beauty of our traditions with everyone around us.
